"Teaching a student about the tenets of a religion is one thing," the student wrote. "Declaring that homosexual acts violate the natural laws of man is another." Interesting, I will start by saying, I have No issue with homosexuality. Natural law huh? well We are primates, on the primate food chain we are between chimps and great apes, as far as sexual reproduction goes, That is a topic i will touch on if i need to. . So that said, we are mammals, animals, NATURAL LAW would dictate that a male and a female will mate and that offspring will be the outcome. That is NATURAL LAW, its about survival of a species. My heart goes out to this teacher. Its OK for a teacher to teach rules for radicals and brainwash our youth as long as its " progressive" sad |

You can't say that teaching the religion is fine, unless you don't agree with what it teaches.... dumbass. They should leave the teacher alone and send the student back to high school... |

It would be the same if you attended a class solely based on homosexuality (if there was one) and denounced heterosexuality as unnatural. Is that hate speech? I would also expect that if I attend a class on the Muslim religion that if they say they don't like certain behavior, I wouldn't be running it as hate speech. It's been well established that Catholicism isn't with homosexually. |

The minority component is what makes the difference here. Gays are a protected class. Muslims are a protected class. I agree, AW... If you are in college and you haven't figured out that Catholics aren't exactly 'fans' of homosexuality, then there's something wrong your attention span... How can the religious teachings of Catholicism be 'hate speech' that you can hang on one unfortunate professor? |
