Obama is on the war path, and the Dems have smelt blood. As I have read from sources, the GOP philibustered the extension of unemployement benefits, for one reason. They wanted to use unspent " stimulus" funds to pay for it rather than adding MORE money to an ever increasing debt. If this is true....and I can see that as a resonable argument. Then the GOP was for a change right on track,. however when the gentleman from WVA was sworn in , he and obama rode in like knights in shining armour to rescue the unemployed....by adding a few billion to the debt. Now the left is circling like vultures over a battlefield. Obama is in full " the GOP doesnt care about the people, or the Americans hurt by the " Bush " recession. and it is picking up steam in a critical midtearm election cycle. So the failure of the GOP to state the reasons for the phillibuster, exept with a few talking heads on the right. And every news agency and left talker stating that the GOP is against the poor American who is unemployed, is in my oppinion a self administered shot in the foot, completely hobbling the GOP's chances for any type of election victory in november. Im not a polotician but I know perception is truth to the average American. |

The GOP got beat... They were portrayed as being against the extension of the benefits when their only beef was where the money was coming from... How about a shout out to Scott Brown? That still makes me laugh... |
