I have come to the realization that liberals are just plain stupid or are insane. They repeat the same old programs over and over, just calling them different names and expect a different result from things that haven't worked in the past. They are currently trying to repeat the New Deal, though that one put us into the Great Depression instead of the mild recession it should have been. To believe that government can run your life better than you can is again either stupid or insane. People of intelligence or sanity believe in personal responsibility. We all decide our own fates by our decisions. The only times our goals are stopped is when government decides to stop us. |

The Lib's promoting these programs aren't stupid, they're very smart. They know the best way to enslave the people is to make them dependent on them. Now the Lib's that beleive the government will take care of them without authority over them are just fools blinded by their own sincerity. It's going to be a sad day for them when they realize they had been fooled. They will soon realize "The hand you hold is the same hand that holds you down" |

Perception is truth to the average rank and file American. Most Americans do not concern themselves with polotics, exept what they see on the cbs, abc, nbc, nightly news. What they see is Pres. Obama scolding the GOP for being against the poor, the unemployed, the sick. He and the news say that the GOP is in the pockets of big corps, and rich wall street " fat cats". And people believe it, they sit on thier couches and say .." The republicans are greedy and like the rich....its what the news says" then came the Unenployement issue, Truth was the GOP only wanted it funded , the media made people say " the republicans dont care about me and I am loosing my house, and cant feed my family " " ill vote DEMOCRAT cause charlie gibson and the View say they CARE about us" lets look at FACTS 1 NO polotician " CARES " about you, its about POWER and only POWER 2 refer to point number one 3 Elites Run the gov |

Without rewriting history, or creating the mythical liberal we can all blame our troubles on, I'd suggest that our problem can be found by glancing to the left... and then the right. The Left identifies problems and comes up with the most idiotic solutions imaginable, while the Right either ignores the problems altogether (the economy) or creates bigger ones to divert attention... These two dumbass ideologies promote blindness -- the inability to see that you can't spend your way out of economic trouble, or shoot your way out of every fight... One side spends all it's time fixing everything with absolutely no expertise, while the other side bitches about the methods being used to fix the stuff they ignored... This country would be WAY better off if we just asked all liberals and conservatives to raise their hands, and then stuffed these idiots into boxes and FedEx'd them to f--king Venus. |

I would say the problem lies within ourselves. The more we turn to government to solve our problems the greater in size the government will grow. Bureaucracies are not created as a temp job service. They are created to sustain the problem. A solved problem ='s an unneeded bureaucracy. Government can't have that now.... |

marnesdad, for once I almost agree with what you say...(hope lighting doesn't strike me). If the government just followed the constitution and stayed out of everything else, I think everyone would be better off. As Ronald Reagan said, the scariest thing for a citizen is a knock on the door and a man is standing there saying "I'm from the government and I'm here to help" |

Ronald Reagan... my favorite president (for what he actually stood for and accomplished, not the re-written history the Right is so found of crediting him for) |
