Untrue. Takes Google and two minutes to debunk as the crap it obviously is. It figures that the Daily Caller, Drudge, and Fox News would produce/repeat the nonsense without checking it. The fact that Wilkow kept repeating it without fact checking is expected..... Here's what REALLY happened... In a COURT BRIEF (mentioned in the story) the EPA was defending its decision to change the parameters of the Act they were supposed to enforce -- processing and issuing permits for businesses emitting over 100/t/yr in carbon emissions. The EPA changed it to 75,000/t/yr of carbon emissions because if they didn't, they would NEED 230,000 additional administrative hires at a cost of $21B/yr to enforce the current law. They DIDN'T ask for new hires, they simply pointed out what they would have to have in order to carry out the ridiculouslness that the law asks for.... |

If you're wondering... this is what's wrong with the right and left wings of this country. Both sides will literally believe anything they are told, as long as they see political or ideological value in it, and will repeat it over and over again as fact regardless of what they eventually learn. This 230,000 new EPA hire nonsense will remain alive and will be repeated over and over again as time goes on... Just like 16,000 IRS agents for Obamacare..... Sad. |

Hmmmm..... I didn't hear all of Wilkow's show today.... I'm wondering if he made reference to the total debunking of the "230,000 new EPA employees request"... Yep, as I said two days ago, it turned out to be a lie. I guess it may be a good idea to start fact checkin' stuff before you go on making a fool of yourself.... LOL. |

What Wilkow et al say I generally agree with. I don't like the EPA, for example. Too much reach with John Q. having no say. But a lot of details get ignored. Hannity sometimes seems like a shill for the pharmaceutical industry. I agree with him that they have a right to make a good profit, and that R&D is expensive. He never seems to deal with the non-stop trouble some of the "bigs" are in for unethical/illegal busness practices. He also doesn't deal with the history of price fixing in the industry. |

I haven't liked the EPA since Walter Peck released hundreds of ghosts into NYC by shutting off 'the grid' in 1984. Actually, the EPA shouldn't exist at the federal level. The states should be policing the environmental protection of their own states. However, if the EPA must be a federal agency, I think they should only have the power to enforce existing law, not create the rules themselves. |

As for Wilkow et al... There is a ton of stuff that they say that makes perfect sense. My problem with them is that they are not intelligently "aware" enough to make the arguments they try to make. For example, I don't know how much time Wilkow puts into preparing what he's going to say... sometimes it sounds like just a minute or two before the show... But, when I heard him say that the EPA wanted to hire almost a quarter million people, I knew that something wasn't right... Now, am I smarter than Wilkow for questioning it? Probably. But, what it really comes down to is that I was immediately compelled to question it, while Wilkow was immediately compelled to accept it as fact. That's why Wilkow and others do a disservice to the very message they pretend to aid. They are so obsessed with "winning an argument" that they don't consider the harm they're doing by embellishing, lying, or simply not knowing the topics they try to cover. |

What Wilkow needs for his show is an opposing viewpoint -- a Colmes to his Hannity -- in order to sharpen him up for primetime. Hannity still has his share of issues, but his days of actually having to PREPARE to represent conservative ideals is why he has 14+ million listeners a week... |

No. But, it does make one wonder from where he draws the inspiration... |

Oh, if you see enough of it you can parody fairly well. He's good at it. Cops are the best in the world. |
