Well, the Perfect Failure (aka probation/parole) has earned its reputation again. Two"men" with prior felonies for bank robbery and firearms violations killed a Walker, MI police officer yesterday. They robbed a bank in nearby Ravenna, led cops on a high speed chase on the interstate highway, shot at the cops during the chase, then intentionally ran down the Walker officer who was trying to lay out tire spikes to blow out the robbers car tires. The robbers exited their vehicle and opened up on the pursuing officers. The officers returned fire. They quit when their fingers cramped up. The two a**holes did not survive the encounter. They were suspects in a number of armed bank robberies dating back through this year. One of them had a prior for armed bank robbery, did 8 /12 yrs out of 10, then was released early from probation because he no longer posed a threat to the community. Tell that to the deceased officer's wife and two little kids. |
