The Wilkow Majority » Declaration of Dependence

I came up with an idea today. I think we should draft a document to be signed next July 4th. It will state why The Constitution should no longer be follwed. It will state our greivances against individuality and freedom and our desire for the government to take care of us. We can call it the Declaration of Dependence and July 4th can forever be known as Dependence Day. Here is what I have so far. What do you think? We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men should share in society’s production equally, regardless of their contribution to it, that among these things to be shared are access to government run health insurance and any other right we may determine we want in the future. That to secure these rights, the unproductive men in our democracy shall outnumber the productive men, deriving their just powers from the consent of each other to assert whichever rights they wish and to be free from all responsibility the assertion of these rights create. That whenever any freedom loving entrepreneur becomes destructive to our ends, it is the right of the majority to tax him or to otherwise assert ownership of his labor, and to institute new ways of forcing the entrepreneur to offer his abilities for our collective benefit, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to us shall seem most likely to effect our safety and happiness. We have deemed it our right to alter our freedom protecting government and to provide new guards for our future security. The history of the United States is a history which promotes too much freedom and individuality. To prove this, let facts be submitted to a candid world. Our government has refused to tax productive people sufficiently to provide for the benefit of the unproductive. Our government has failed to realize that private industry is evil and greedy. The shrinking group of innovators and entrepreneurs have increasingly decided to produce offshore because of lack of government regulation which could prevent this. The future likelihood that we will receive the full amount of our entitlements has diminished due to a failure of government to raise taxes to support these entitlements. We, therefore, the representatives of the United States of America solemnly publish and declare, that we the people of these United State are no longer free. We are dependent on our omnipotent federal government. Today July 4, 2010 is our Dependence Day.
