I have started my own company. I decided to see if there were any grants that I could use to help me get started? I went to grants.gov to search for some opportunities. I clicked on "Find Grant Opportunities" then "Browse by Category" then "Business and Commerce". I was shocked to find that the first 2 grants listed are Empowering Pakistan - Jobs and Empowering Pakistan - Entrepreneurs for a total of $110 million dollars. We are in the worst job market in 26 years and I find my government dolling out tax dollars to entrepreneurs in another country. In my mind, this is quite a slap in the face. How many US citizens could use help here and now. I am trying to grow my business on a dream and a shoestring at www.bullbearpro.com. Please do not misunderstand me. I prefer that government NOT spend this money at all but if we are going to give out this money, it should be awarded here first. |

America needs to focus on Americans. Unemployment is fast approaching 10%, washington needs to stop wasting our money and leave it in the AMERICAN economy. If theyr dead set on socialism at least waste the money on Americans. |
