WRESTLING IS BACK!!! Monday Night Wars are back. I was watching TNA Impact on Spike TV which was on a special time, due to Hulk Hogans debut. They had The original NWO, Ric Flair, Jeff Jarrett, and the wrestling was phenominal. Then I switch to WWE Raw real quick, and they had Bret Hart face to face with Shawn Michaels. Great time to be a wrestling fan once again! |

I must say, after watching both shows, TNA Impact was by far better. Hope they go head to head every monday! |

I just can't get in to Impact, you can tell Russo is involved in the story lines and now with the main WCW crew back they will just fall back on bad habbits. There is just no flow to their shows and I feel that the new talent in TNA will be held back by Hogan et al. who just need that spotlight one more time. TNA does have good wrestling talent and Angle and AJ Styles put on one amazing match. Raw on the other hand has a natural flow to the show, its a shame some of the matches did not live up or they did not do more with Bret. If I was Vince, knowing what Hogans ego is like and how he and the old crew will take over and become center of attention, I would try and sign some of the undercard guys and the likes of AJ, Joe and Daniels. Imagine AJ Styles against someone like Shelton Bejamin or Evan Bourne! As for MNW, it won't happen again unless TNA get some major investment like WCW did from Turner. Finally, Russo needs to leave TNA and they should bring in Heyman. Heyman running creative and Bischoff running the business side (I believe he has learnt from his mistakes) would allow them to go for the non PG market which the WWE has moved away from. |

Why does any grown man want to watch that garbage? These steroid pumped so-called wrestlers act like full grown babies. They always have something to fight about. They're always mad at eachother. They always have a score to settle, but can never seem to settle that score. In my estimation; profession wrestling is doing to conservatives what pornography is doing to liberals. It takes you away from all sense of reality and turns your brain to mush. |

I moved to this country from England with nothing, have a Hons. degree in Business and Economics, I run a business with 25 employees and am heavily involved with local charities and my community. I have never needed any help from the government in the past and will not need any for the future as I have planned correctly. I would say I have a very good grip on reality thank you and I would suggest you do some research on professional wrestling first. The WWE every year goes to war zones to entertain our troops and those service men and women will do about anyting to make sure they have the time off to go and see them. The WWE is also one of the most requested wishes for Make a Wish with John Cena being one of their most requested celebrities. They also teamed up with Disney for Wrestlemania 24 to bring kids to Orlando for a vacation at Disney and to go to Wrestlemania. They are also involved with educational events such as reading and encouraging young people to vote. The list goes on. So before tarring all wrestling fans as having 'mush' for brains, I suggest you do research before posting and sort out your narrow minded view which says more about you then wrestling fans. |

BritishConservative; I get all that. The rasslers support our troops and all that. But what they do for us during their off time doesn't justify their silly profession. I know what wrestling is, I've seen it in high school. What these phonies do isn't wrestling. It's about the most idiotic form of entertainment. Since I'm a conservative who believes in liberty, I'm not setting out to ban it. But I will take the liberty of expressing what I think of that freakshow. |

I accept your right to express your view on it, but at least do it with some intelligence which so far you have failed to show. If you knew anything about this form of entertainment, the very wrestling you talk about in high school, a vast majority of those in the WWE and even TNA were local, state and national champions. What they do is very physical and I am a person who enjoys physical activities, be it real sports like football or MMA, or a form of entertainment like this where the falls and bumps they take do hurt! Compare their physicality to other forms of entertainment including real sport, it will be hard to find a more physical profession. Just remember, to label it as 'idotic' form of entertainment, I take offense as you are questioning my intellect. I'm sure you would not be too happy if I started calling things you enjoy as 'idotic' or 'silly' with taking the same narrow minded approach you have displayed here using sterotypes. |

BC; You could criticize my tastes in entertainment as well. I like Southpark and the Simpsons. I find it interesting that in spite of many of these professional wrestlers testifying in court that what they do is an act, people still pack the arenas to watch the show. Most of the time is spent with them yelling at eachother. There's always some kind of vendetta to be settled. I'm well aware that they some rough tumbles. But it's all acrobatics rather than competition. |

gop4usa12: I think you answered your own criticism in your post...it's a show. I don't think any wrestler or any adult who enjoys it would argue with you that it is anything other than a show. They have writers just like your favorite TV shows do. It is very physical and a very taxing profession, and people enjoy it. I'm sure there are people who are very intelligent who like to watch it because it let's them take their minds off life for a while. To call people idiotic or silly is absurd. Some people may think it is silly that adults like to watch cartoon shows like Southpark or the Simpsons, but I think most people wouldn't ridicule them for it. |

Guys, I happen to be a pro wrestling referee in the DC area minor league circuit. I happen to have two masters and work for the DoD. One of the local promoters has a PhD. wrestlers are basically stuntman. The better an athlete you are, the better stunts you can do. Some wrestler I know have a martial arts background. I have been at a show where a wrestler suffered an ACL because he fell wrong. |
