That '29.95 'delivered' ad for proflowers is really $51.68 once all the fees and additional delivery charges are tacked on. This was the bare bones cheapest option available to me Flowers (with Wilkow deal): $29.99 Standard Express Delivery: $9.99 Guaranteed Feb. 12 Delivery: $4.99 Care & Handling: $2.99 Tax: $3.72 not much of a deal anymore. Tons of respect for your show, Andrew. Please don't let your advertisers jerk us around. -Cnation |

'Vet' them?.... They are all shilling for most of these companies.... They're all getting paid to sell flowers and strawberries and backup services, etc... The best scam they have going is the 'gold'... They're using the content of their shows to scare everyone into very bad investments... shameful. |

Yeah, buying gold is a scam? I'd rather buy gold than buy a ticket to see Avatar. |

It's not a 'scam'... unless paying 6-15% over spot to buy it, and getting only 85-95% of it's total value when you sell it can be called a 'scam'.... At $1,094, today's spot price, one ounce would cost you about $1,209... So, you would need gold to increase a pretty decent amount before you could actually call your 'investment' a win... Even more so considering that when you sell it, you'll only get 85-95% of the spot value... These gold companies are making a killing on scared Americans.... Guess who that is? |

I've noticed the "rip" effect on these online"deals" for some time. You get a great price, but after adding in shipping/handling it isn't great. It's usually far more worth it to me to just go to my local florist and get what I want. The difference in price is minimal, and I'm buying from my neighbors. Same way with books. I'd rather pay a couple of extra bucks and get the thing immediately. As for the gold, I'm not as impressed with it as the radio guys are. I've got some in Vanguard's precious metals and mining. It's stiff to get into, and it's somewhat risky. It made about 75% last year, but lost about 45% the previous year. |

I've used ProFlowers several times and love their product. I have no complaints. Sure beats the hell outta Teleflora! |
