I am a 19 year Air Force member, retiring soon, Desert Storm, and Iraqi Freedom Combat Vet, and an Ultra Conservative. I have done a little research on the "Oath Keepers" organization. They are an group of military, police, and fire fighters. They promote the oath of defending the Constitution, and have 10 orders they will not follow, one being disarming American citizens. What do ya'll think about this movement? They also have ties to the Tea Party. Thanks, |

after looking the web site, i see that they are ultra conservative..probally on a terror right wing extreamist watch list. have the fed watching every move they make. I also see that they LOVE the USA,And what it means to be an AMERICAN. They remember the oath they took, when they raised there right hand, ( I had a hard time fighting back the tears of pride and joy and humility of TRUE service to this great nation the three times I took that oath ) |

I glanced at their site and agree with much of the platform. A police officer has to be careful because many states have laws authorizing/mandating seizure of firearms in domestic violence cases. Property seizure due to a search warrant etc etc is another issue. As is crowd control. I can see where a modern police officer would have to navigate these issues if an Oath Keeper. |
