Use roe V Wade, the " right to privacy " under socialized medicine the gov has a right to determine what treatment you recieve and what your MD can provide. has access to your records. Under the Liberals FAV, Roe v Wade. we as patients are guranteed rights to privacy, as are we under " Hippa' thank you hillary. the dems set the ground work to destroy obamacare, USE IT |

The government does NOT have a 'right' to determine what treatment you receive. Your doctor can provide whatever treatment he/she see fit. No new people have 'access' to your medical records... Your post simply does not make sense... How would patients' rights to privacy stop the government from providing people with access to insurance? |

There is an excellent (my opinion) article entitled "Health Care in a Free Society" in apublication caleed IMPRIMUS. It's published by Hillsdale College (Hillsdale, Michigan), a TRUE conservative bastion. Representative Paul Ryan (R-Wisc.) gave this as a speech. His point is that "every person has a right to care for their health, just as they have a right to eat. These rights are integral to out natural right to life - and it is government's chief purpose to secure our natural rights." But that does not mean that it's the government's job to provide the health care, just as it isn't government's job to produce food. "Government's constitutional obligations in regard to protecting such rights are normally met by establishing the conditions for free markets - markets which historically provide an abundance of goods and services, at an affordable cost, for the largest number." It's a good article. It's in IMPRIMUS, Fe. 2010, Volume 39, Number 2, for those who might be interested. |

If all my neighbors had a toilet problem and called the plumber once a week to come fix the problem, would you go ask them what kind of toilet they have so you can go get one? & if one of my kids said hey old man, johnnys dad next door just had the plumber in & fixed his toilet, we should get one, I'd tell him, if you like it that much go there and use it, why would I purposly break my system because someone in my house thinks the neighbors system is better even though he's never used it. If these pople want free health care let them move to canada or europe & see how they like it there. |

"Your doctor can provide whatever treatment he/she see fit." And exactly how would you know this? Have you ever ordered an MRI and had it denied by medicare? How about a knee brace and had it denied by medicaid? Or what about physical therapy, again only to have it denied by medicare or medicaid? You have absolutlely no clue as to what you are talking about whatsoever. Medicare is the largest denier of claims by far. The current legilation if carried out to it's full potential will definitely by necessity require rationing and limited access to patients and providers. Just wait to see how easy it is to get care after 1/3-almost 1/2 of physicians retire or leave the profession voluntarily. Also, just wait until physicians no longer take medicare. |

Hmmmmmmm.........Polling of physicians last fall and this winter has indicated physicians will do as such. Physicians already has been opting out of taking medicare as reimbursements have dropped. |

The sad thing is that a lot of people consider Medicare, etc. successes. That's according, I guess, to the idea that if something helps at all it's a success. Just don't look at the long range cost, including the massive fraud attendant to Medicare - hundreds of millions of tax dollars over the decades. Also, just ignore the administrative hassle involved in straightening out even small matters. It's not tough - IF you get someone who knows what they're doing. If not, good luck. As to the fraud, you'd think that with so much taxpayer money going out in medical programs that Congress would rigorously oversee that money to prevent fraud. Guess again. YOU provide the dinero, THEY spend it. If they screw it up, YOU get to spend more. |
