Congressman Randy Weber
Randy Weber, a public servant, proven conservative, and successful small business owner was elected to the U.S. House of Representatives in November 2012 to represent the Fourteenth Congressional District of Texas. Randy Weber will serve on the Foreign Affairs and the Science, Space, and Technology Committees. For the past 40 years, Randy Weber has called the Gulf Coast home, a place to start a business and raise a family. While juggling work and family takes great amounts of time and effort, Randy still makes time to be an active member of his church and community. Randy started his air conditioning company, Weber’s Air & Heat, in 1981 from scratch, and grew his business by using, what his Grandfather used to call, good old-fashion Texas horse sense and a strong work ethic. Like others who have successfully moved from business to public service, it is Randy’s real-world experience in the private sector that underpins his commitment to lower taxes, his contempt for wasteful spending and his firm dedication to better schools. Prior to being elected to Congress, Randy served four years in the Texas State House. During his tenure, Randy served on the committees of Environmental Regulation, Public Education, and as Vice Chair of Border and Intergovernmental Affairs. While serving as a Texas State Representative in Austin, Randy Weber authored landmark legislation to combat human trafficking and protect women, young girls and boys - some as young as 12 years old - who become victims of human trafficking by giving them a safe haven, access to medical treatment, rehabilitation and the tools to start a new life. The bill not only became law, it has become a model for other states and other countries around the world. Randy understands that bureaucratic red tape is only hurting small businesses not fostering a stronger economy, which is why he made it a priority to reduce burdensome regulations mandated by agencies like the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) in Texas. Randy will make it a pillar of his conservative foundation to reduce the size and cost of the Federal government, while fighting against higher taxes and job killing mandates in Congress. Randy has lived in a 20-mile radius for over 59 years, and been married to Brenda Weber, a schoolteacher, for over 35 years. He is a graduate of Alvin Community College and holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Houston at Clear Lake. Randy and Brenda have three children and four wonderful grandchildren.

Lisa Laird Dunn
Lisa’s family has been involved in distilling prior to the United States becoming an independent nation. The Laird family has been producing “Laird’s AppleJack” since the late 1600’s, making it America’s oldest native distilled spirit. As a ninth-generation Laird, it was a natural choice for Lisa to continue the legacy. Although a family member, Lisa still needed to learn the ropes and worked her way up the ranks. During her 30 years in the industry she has held various positions in production, quality control, accounting, sales and marketing and product and package development. Lisa currently is vice president and world ambassador and she sits on the board of directors. She enjoys travelling throughout the United States and abroad, promoting applejack and conversing with applejack and cocktail enthusiasts. lairdandcompany.com
